Tony Romo’s shoulders drooped and Terrell Owens cried after the Dallas Cowboys last played at Texas Stadium. While that bitter home playoff loss against the New York Giants in January hasn’t doused high expectations for this season, Dallas still hasn’t won a game since. OK, so it’s only the preseason and Romo and Owens got only limited time in the Cowboys‘ losses at San Diego and Denver.

In an Aug. 17 story about the Dallas Cowboys-Denver Broncos preseason game, The Associated Press reported erroneously that cornerback Adam Jones was in coverage on Brandon Marshall’s touchdown catch. The cornerback was Mike Jenkins.
Cowboys cut roster to 75 players (AP)
The Dallas Cowboys released four players Monday and reached an injury settlement with fullback Ronnie Cruz to reach the 75-player limit a day before the deadline. Cruz, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, played 19 games with Kansas City in 2005 and 2006. He was released by the Chiefs during training camp last year while recovering from a knee injury.
